Twitter White Hat accolade is third in a row after Microsoft and Google listings
06.02.2012Following closely on its listing in the Microsoft Security Response Centre and the latest Google Hall of Fame, security management and compliance company, RandomStorm, has been named among the Twitter White Hats. that help to maintain security for users.
RandomStorm security consultants test web applications, systems and networks and report discovered vulnerabilities to the relevant companies, so that they can improve security and protect customers and the data that they store about them. In their spare time, these researchers also contribute to testing and improving the security of public internet platforms.
Last week, Microsoft named RandomStorm among the independent researchers who have helped to identify security issues so that they can be quickly rectified. Google has also named RandomStorm among the security experts who have discovered and reported issues, enabling the search giant to protect users from web-based exploits.
Security engineer, Avram Marius Gabriel (Twitter @SecurityShell), earned RandomStorm’s place among the Twitter White Hats, the Google Hall of Fame and Microsoft Security Response Centre by alerting Twitter, Google and Microsoft to vulnerabilities, which have been addressed as a result.
Andrew Mason, Technical Director and co-founder of RandomStorm, commented, “We are committed to improving IT security and we are delighted to have been recognised by three internet giants for the web security research undertaken by our team. This is further recognition of our passion for improving the safety of applications, systems and networks, both for our customers and the general public.”
