Two More BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE Clubs Sign Up With RandomStorm

Bolton Wanderers FC and Fulham FC are the latest Barclays Premier League clubs to select RandomStorm to bolster their IT network defences. The two clubs have joined Sunderland FC and Reading FC in using RandomStorm's network vulnerability management system to help ensure that their fans personal information, stored on their network servers is fully secure.

Randomstorm is supplying both clubs with its xStorm and iStorm vulnerability scanning technology, which will automatically monitor their IT infrastructures and identify when the clubs data and applications are potentially at risk from the hundreds of new Internet security threats that are appearing every year.

Like many other major sporting organisations Premier League clubs have all developed their off-field commercial activities to offer a wide range of additional football related services for their fans via an Internet ecommerce portal. Now amongst some of the busiest Web sites in the UK a large proportion of the clubs revenue is transacted via the Internet using credit card payment facilities on their sites. For the network managers this means that IT security is a major priority, particularly to stay compliant with the strict Payment Card Industry security regulations (PCI DSS).
